- Baby profile data: Baby's name, birth date, gender, and avatar preferences.
- Caregiver profile data: Your name and role (e.g., mom, dad, nanny).
- Sleep tracking data: Nap times, bedtime, wake times, sleep locations, and related notes.
- Feeding data: Feeding type (breast, bottle, solids), timestamps, and duration.
- Diaper data: Diaper change timestamps and type.
- App preferences: Language, time format, notification settings, and display preferences.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for compatibility purposes.
- Usage analytics: We collect anonymized analytics about how features are used to improve the App. This data is not personally identifiable.
1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect your email address, phone number, or physical address.
- We do not collect location data (GPS).
- We do not use cookies or web tracking technologies.
- We do not collect financial information (payments are processed entirely through Apple).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the App's core functionality, including sleep predictions, sound playback, and tracking.
- Generate personalized sleep schedules and predictions based on your baby's data.
- Enable family sync between caregivers through Apple's iCloud infrastructure.
- Send local push notifications about upcoming naps and bedtime (only if enabled by you).
- Generate PDF reports for your pediatrician at your request.
- Improve the App's features and user experience through anonymized analytics.
3. Data Storage & Security
3.1 Local Storage
All your personal data — baby profiles, sleep entries, feeding logs, and preferences — is stored locally on your device using iOS's secure storage (UserDefaults and the app sandbox). This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable Family Sync.
3.2 iCloud Sync (Family Sync)
If you enable Family Sync, your baby tracking data is synced through Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) infrastructure. This data is:
- Encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple.
- Shared only with family members you explicitly invite.
- Subject to Apple's own Privacy Policy.
- Under your full control — you can leave a family group or disable sync at any time.
3.3 Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized, aggregated usage data. This helps us understand which features are most useful and where to focus improvements. Firebase Analytics does not collect personally identifiable information from our App.

5. Children's Privacy
Hushed Sleep is designed for parents and caregivers to track their baby's routines. While the App stores information about children (name, birth date, sleep data), this information is:
- Provided and controlled entirely by the parent or caregiver.
- Stored locally on the parent's device or in the parent's iCloud account.
- Never used for advertising, profiling, or shared with third parties.
We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
6. Your Rights & Choices
- Access & delete your data: You can view all your data within the App. To delete all data, use "Erase All Data" in Settings. This permanently removes all data from your device.
- Notifications: You can enable or disable push notifications at any time through the App's settings or your device's notification settings.
- Family Sync: You can leave a family group or disable sync at any time.
- Export: You can export your data as a PDF report at any time.
- Account deletion: Since no account is required, deleting the App and using "Erase All Data" removes all data associated with you.
7. Data Retention
Your data is retained on your device for as long as you use the App. When you delete the App or use "Erase All Data", all local data is permanently deleted. If you used iCloud sync, you may also need to remove data from iCloud through your Apple account settings.
8. International Data Transfers
If you use Family Sync, your data may be stored in Apple's iCloud data centers, which may be located outside your country of residence. Apple ensures appropriate safeguards for such transfers under their privacy policy.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
